This morning children across the school celebrated Harvest Celebration assembly, with visitors from our local family-church in the nearby community.
The hall tables were filled with a selection of wonderful food, tins and a huge bread centrepiece, which will be donated to a local charity food bank.
The children heard the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 people, using a small amount of food and sharing this with our friends… children then reflected on how they can help people around them and the great support that a small gift (like tins for the foodbank) can make a huge difference to the lives of many families.
For parents who would like to find out more about the Caring Hands Project, or to get involved with the food bank, you can access their Facebook page @ https://en-gb.facebook.com/FamilyChurchBridgemary/
Mr Moloney then presented and lead a fabulous makaton display of “Love Is Easy” with the children joining in along the way!
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Harvest celebration – it is hugely appreciated!
