As part of our Good Learners assembly this week, reading certificates were presented to children who had read at least 25 times over the recent half-term. Well done to these children and a big thank you to all the people at home who have been supporting reading at home!
Good learners were presented for their excellent gymnastics work, great team work in lessons (using our Colla skills) and super efforts across the curriculum. Others received awards for their efforts in writing (producing a very entertaining letter to new neighbours!) and extending their thinking in Maths too.
Children across the school were also awarded Good Learners for their excellent independence and perseverance. Some children had even been using staff name-labels to improve their writing!
The ever-present Makaton Choir also performed “Let It Go” (from Frozen) using signing and singing along the way too! A huge well done to Mr Moloney for his superb leading of this across the school. Children performed a whole performance of the Disney classic – if you are interested in joining Makaton Choir then head to see Mr Moloney in the coming weeks!
Housepoints this week were won by: Aderin-Pocock (Blue) = 723 points
Attenborough (Green) = 593 points
Hawking (Red) = 681 points
Turing (Yellow) = 510 points
